About Us

Paula & Alistair Gordon. Both of us are passionate about food and being able to produce a hand made artisan Scottish product.

We are a small family run traditional smokehouse, smoking Salmon and Haddock using pure and simple traditional methods to produce our own unique flavour.

Nestled in Sleepy Hollow we work from a 300 year old crofters cottage situated on the shores of Loch Ewe, framed by the Torridon mountains to the south and the outer Islands of Harris & Lewis out to the West.

Alistair & Paula

The love of a lifestyle spent close to the elements of nature and the sea have transferred over from working on large sailing yachts in the Mediterranean to this small traditional smokehouse on the shores of Loch Ewe.

Life before sailing for Alistair was spent working for two of the most successful smokehouses in the west of Scotland. Over a period of 10 years he gained the skills, knowledge and passion for smoking fish in the traditional way. Paula discovered the best of Scottish food whilst cooking freelance in some of the countries more remote and spectacular lodges and houses.
